I've been working with Okino Sensei for almost four months and have seen an improvement in my written and spoken Japanese. I studied in the past, but took a long break from studying after college. So, this year, I wanted to start learning again and didn’t know where to start. After some internet research, I found Okino sensei and decided to give it a shot. I was happy I did so because Okino sensei is a great teacher. He’s patient and makes sure I understand a lesson before moving on to the next. I highly recommend him if you’re looking for a Japanese tutor no matter what level you are on. I also chose him as a tutor because he has a great background of working with other cultures and in other countries, and I thought that was a huge plus!

I highly recommend Okino Sensei as a Japanese teacher. He is extremely approachable, friendly, and makes me feel comfortable speaking in Japanese with him. I appreciate that he tries to explain concepts in Japanese first, only resorting to English as a last resort when I don't understand something. I always enjoy our conversations and we never run out of things to talk about! Additionally, if you're interested in learning more about Kansai vocabulary and culture, Kentaro is the perfect teacher for you. Overall, I am grateful to have Kentaro as my Japanese teacher and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking to improve their Japanese skills.

Okino Sensei is a great teacher, and I would know because I have been a teacher for 7 years! He is patient and allows his student to finish their thoughts and engages in thoughtful conversation, adjusting his speaking and explanations to match what his students can understand. If you are looking to study seriously, you will get everything out of the lessons that you put into them, and more.

Okino Sensei's class worths the time! Learning Japanese from him is always informational and interesting at the same time. I work in daytime and study with Kentaro Sensei at night every week, min 3 times a week. he always keep the class interesting but very educational. I can see my Japanese have been improving over time. highly recommend. 6 out of 5 to be honest!!
